Welcome to the Vanwest Blog!!

Hello everyone!!  We would like to give you information about VanWest College through our WordPress blog from now on.

VanWest College was founded in 1988 and this year is the school’s 20th anniversary. VanWest College has two campuses; one in Vancouver and one in Kelowna, so you can choose to study in VanWest Vancouver, VanWest Kelowna, or even in both.  We have been providing various English programs to international students since 1988.  These programs include: General English, Business English, Cambridge exam preparation, Internship programs, Youth programs and more. We also offer many elective classes that will help you improve your English skills in the areas you believe you need to work on harder. This way, you can take classes that you are interested in, and you will improve specific skills in English.  If you would like to get more detailed information about the programs we offer, please log on to ourwebsite at http://www.vanwest.com/programs.htm

Today we would like to tell you about one of our most popular classes: the Focused Listening and Speaking class. This class is suitable for students who want to focus on improving their speaking and listening skills.  Jeremy Krull is the teacher of this class.  He is a very helpful teacher and he always explains any questions that students ask him in plain English.

Jeremy gives students an interesting topic every class and students discuss it with each other.  The students range from countries as diverse as Korea, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and Japan; so you can learn many different ideas from other students and it will make you open your mind.  Also, the students will sometimes go out with the class and practice English through activities.  If you take this class, you will not only learn English, but also you will enjoy learning different ways of thinking from your classmates.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. http://www.vanwest.com/contact.htm
